TriMetis Life Sciences’ emphasis on data security, privacy protection, and ethical research delivers trustworthy digital pathology solutions.

Innovating Trust and Technology in Digital Pathology

In the dynamic landscape of life sciences, trust is the cornerstone that fortifies the journey toward innovative solutions and improved patient outcomes. At TriMetis, trust isn’t just a buzzword; it’s the foundation of our work in advancing digital pathology through artificial intelligence (AI).

Cloud Computing & Data Security

TriMetis leverages Salesforce’s advanced client relationship management (CRM) technology to provide encompassing control over account management and enterprise operations, establishing the highest-level protection, scalability, and functionality for our ARCH Ecosystem. With a concentration on secure cloud computing, the ARCH Ecosystem, including ARCH LabFlow and ARCH Marketplace, operates effortlessly.

ARCH LabFlow, our cloud-native Software as a Service (SaaS), provides secure cloud-hosted utilities, including image management, AI analytical tools, and workflow automation to allow easy access while adhering to regulatory compliance and protecting data. Clients have the option to integrate their image repositories seamlessly in a secure setting. In addition, TriMetis’ ARCH Marketplace, designed as a quality, cost-effective biospecimen marketplace, ensures that users' data is safeguarded through Salesforce's powerful, comprehensive, and transparent privacy and security program.

Relevance & Risk Mitigation

TriMetis Life Sciences places a strong focus on safety and data protection. Our Privacy Policy defines our approach to managing personal information, underscoring our commitment to security, and data confidentiality. Additionally, it addresses data-handling precautions, focusing on collecting, using, and storing data, prioritizing protection, and resilience, and ultimately avoiding redundancy.

The ARCH Ecosystem includes agreements such as the ARCH MTA Agreement, governing Material Transfer Agreements for sharing biological materials, and ARCH SaaS Agreements, specifying terms and conditions for software usage within the ARCH platform. Full-proof risk mitigation, including protocols for ensuring information and creating a secure software environment, is highlighted in both our policies and agreements.

Governance & Compliance

TriMetis emphasizes compliancy and user obligation frameworks in our MTA and SaaS agreements, defining responsibilities, and assuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations. We acknowledge intellectual property matters related to shared materials and outline termination clauses that identify any conditions ending any agreements and their effects on user access. These guidelines collectively create a fail-safe foundation that provides privacy, security, and legal compliance in our operations.

TriMetis’ protective measures are supported by governance and compliance capabilities deeply nested in the very fabric of our SaaS products, partnerships, and across our service providers.  Being able to log activity, journal, and secure right down to the user and IP address allows for greater regulative adherence and protection. We can standardize and implement the governance that has been in place in HIPAA, 21CFR Part 11, ISO, and new regulatory and policy governance for the use of AI.

Ethics Practices & Transparency

At TriMetis, we are committed to maintaining compliant, legal, and ethical practices in biospecimen research, upholding the utmost standards of integrity. We place a significant emphasis on informed consent, guaranteeing transparency and respect for donors throughout the biospecimen collection process. To guard data integrity and confidentiality, we implement extensive security precautions for data, image and account handling, including encryption, strict access controls, monitoring, auditing, and protection against unauthorized access.

TriMetis not only adheres to legal frameworks governing biospecimen research but also incorporates ethical research practices, prioritizing the well-being and rights of donors.

We can provide implementations compliant with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards and requirements, and we follow the 45 CFR 46 exemption, showcasing our commitment to ethical and legal regulations in biospecimen research. The collection of samples for “Human Subject Research” follows IRB protocols with informed consent and is reviewed and approved by TriMetis to certify compliance.

Remnant Clinical Specimens, collected under a Non-Human Subject Research determination, adhere to 45 CFR 46 exemption 4, with consent waivers or informed consent based on the sourcing institution’s requirements. Biospecimens are typically delivered blinded, and unless requested, all HIPAA data are removed before leaving the source. Where HIPAA data is requested, TriMetis sources fully consented, IRB-approved materials and data following HIPAA and BAA regulations.

Partnerships

TriMetis Life Sciences’ strategic partnerships with leading technology providers significantly enhance security, trust, and reliability in operations to benefit our customers. Collaborating with Visiopharm, a seasoned AI Platform Provider with two decades of expertise in Pathology AI tools, TriMetis establishes streamlined sample quality control and data collection through AI-powered TriMetis Computer-Assisted Pathology (TCAP AI). This partnership enables efficient and accurate assessment of samples, empowering researchers to develop and refine their AI algorithms using TCAP Ai.

TriMetis leverages Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud hosting and image handling, implemented through the AWS APN partner network, providing robust data security and reliable services. Microsoft Azure, another key partner, is deployed for the digital image repository and AI Apps developed via Visiopharm, enhancing the reliability of TriMetis’  offerings.

Salesforce, which provides an inclusive suite of cloud-based software products, acts as the organizational backbone for TriMetis, emphasizing maximum operational security, scalability, and functionality.  Partnering  with  Nvidia, a leader in high-performance cloud computing, enhances TriMetis’ products and services using their AI Processing System, further solidifying our commitment to advancing technology and reliability in pathology research. Through collaboration with Streamline, our partner in development and integration, we can continue to offer cutting-edge digital pathology solutions.

Secure Transactions

TriMetis Life Sciences fortifies transactions with high security within the ARCH Marketplace platform. Employing the 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), the platform focuses on data and image security, guaranteeing a secure handling process and emphasizing user-controlled accessibility for account security.

Integrating TCAP Ai for quality control empowers researchers with advanced tools for efficient sample assessment while promising protection and responsible handling of personal information. The ARCH Marketplace unites researchers, procurement specialists, and suppliers, via a highly searchable and fully functional platform for seamless biospecimen uploading, searching, analysis, and acquisition. All transactions are conducted online, ensuring ethical, legal, and secure data handling.

TriMetis uses Salesforce’s advanced account management technology, allowing users to have complete control over access levels, emphasizing flexibility and a commitment to data security. ARCH Marketplace assures data safety through a fortified, extensive, and transparent privacy and security program, reinforcing trust in the platform’s security measures.
